Savory Pork Roast with Chard and Beans

What Started it all:

  • 1 pork roast (about 2 pounds)
  • 1 bunch of chard, washed and chopped
  • 1 can of beans (your choice of variety)
  • 2 tablespoons of oil for the wok


  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the pork roast with salt and pepper, then place it in a roasting pan.
  3. Roast the pork in the oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  4. While the pork is roasting, heat the wok over medium-high heat and add the oil.
  5. Add the chopped chard to the wok and sauté until wilted, then add the beans and continue to cook for a few more minutes.
  6. Once the pork is done, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve the sliced pork with the sautéed chard and beans on the side.
