Sizzling Burnt Ends Stir-Fry with Beets and Beans

A bold and flavorful twist on traditional Chinese stir-fry, combining the richness of burnt ends with the sweetness of beets and the crunch of beans.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb burnt ends, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 large beets, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup cooked beans (such as black beans or kidney beans)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 wok or large skillet

Instructions

  1. Heat up the wok! Heat the vegetable oil in the wok over high heat.
  2. Add the diced beets and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until they start to soften.
  3. Add the burnt ends to the wok and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until they start to brown.
  4. Add the cooked beans, grated ginger, and garlic to the wok. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, or until the ingredients are well combined.
  5. Serve the sizzling burnt ends stir-fry hot, garnished with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of soy sauce, if desired.
