Slow-Cooked Pork Shoulder Recipe

This recipe is perfect for a cozy dinner with friends or family. The pork shoulder is cooked slowly in the oven, making it juicy and tender.
Ingredients
- 1 pork shoulder (approx. 2kg)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp salt
- 2 tsp paprika
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 140°C.
- Pat the pork shoulder dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper. Rub this mixture all over the pork shoulder, making sure to cover it evenly.
- Place the pork shoulder in a roasting pan and cover it tightly with foil.
- Cook the pork shoulder in the oven for 6-7 hours, or until it is very tender and can easily be shredded with a fork.
- Once the pork shoulder is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it cool for 10-15 minutes.
- Shred the pork shoulder using two forks, discarding any fat.
- Serve the shredded pork on a platter and enjoy with your favorite sides.
