Slow-Cooked Pork Shoulder Recipe

This recipe is perfect for a cozy dinner with friends or family. The pork shoulder is cooked slowly in the oven, making it juicy and tender.

Ingredients

  • 1 pork shoulder (approx. 2kg)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 140°C.
  2. Pat the pork shoulder dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper. Rub this mixture all over the pork shoulder, making sure to cover it evenly.
  4. Place the pork shoulder in a roasting pan and cover it tightly with foil.
  5. Cook the pork shoulder in the oven for 6-7 hours, or until it is very tender and can easily be shredded with a fork.
  6. Once the pork shoulder is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it cool for 10-15 minutes.
  7. Shred the pork shoulder using two forks, discarding any fat.
  8. Serve the shredded pork on a platter and enjoy with your favorite sides.
