Slow-Cooked Pork Shoulder Recipe

This recipe is perfect for a dinner party or a family gathering. The pork shoulder is slowly roasted in the oven, resulting in tender and juicy meat that falls off the bone. Serves 4 people.

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs. pork shoulder
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Rub the olive oil and seasoning mixture all over the pork shoulder.
  4. Place the pork shoulder in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
  5. Roast for 3 1/2 to 4 hours, or until tender and falling off the bone.
  6. Remove the foil and broil for 5-10 minutes to create a crispy crust.
  7. Slice and serve with your favorite sides.
