Slow-Cooked Pork Shoulder with Root Beer

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. pork shoulder, boneless and skinless
  • 1 can (12 oz.) root beer

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F.
  2. Place the pork shoulder in a deep baking dish or roasting pan.
  3. Pour the root beer over the pork, making sure it is evenly coated.
  4. Cover the dish with a lid or aluminum foil and place in the oven.
  5. Bake for 3½ to 4 hours, or until the pork is very tender and falls apart easily with a fork.
  6. Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes.
  7. Shred the pork using two forks and serve.
