Slow-Cooked Pulled Pork Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 (3-4 pound) boneless pork shoulder roast
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 4 brioche buns

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Rub the mixture all over the pork roast.
  3. Place the pork roast in a large baking dish or Dutch oven. Cover with foil and bake for 4-5 hours, or until fork-tender and able to pull apart easily.
  4. Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes. Once it is cool enough to handle, shred the pork using two forks.
  5. In a small saucepan, heat the barbecue sauce over medium-low heat until warmed through.
  6. Place the shredded pork in a bowl and toss with the warmed barbecue sauce.
  7. To serve, spoon the pulled pork onto the brioche buns and enjoy!
