Slow Cooker Cod with Fennel

What Started it all:
Cod, Fennel bulb, yeast, slow cooker


  • 4 cod fillets
  • 1 fennel bulb, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon yeast
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil
  • Lemon wedges for serving


  1. Season the cod fillets with salt and pepper.
  2. Place the thinly sliced fennel in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Place the seasoned cod fillets on top of the fennel.
  4. Sprinkle the yeast over the cod fillets.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours, or until the cod is flaky and cooked through.
  7. Serve the slow cooker cod with fennel with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
