Ingredients

  • 1 pound seitan, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, combine the seitan and asparagus.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the water, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Pour the mixture over the seitan and asparagus in the slow cooker.
