This recipe combines the rich, smoky flavor of burnt ends with the simplicity of a rice bowl for a delicious and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs burnt ends
  • 2 cups white rice
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the rice in the rice cooker and add the water. Cook the rice according to the rice cooker instructions.
  2. While the rice is cooking, heat the burnt ends in a skillet over medium heat until they are heated through.
  3. Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and divide it among 4 serving bowls.
  4. Top each bowl of rice with a portion of the heated burnt ends.
  5. Drizzle each bowl with BBQ sauce and sprinkle with diced red onion and chopped green onions.
