Sour Cream Chicken Recipe

This delicious recipe serves 4 people and is perfect for a quick and easy weeknight dinner.


  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 1/2 cup of chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup of diced mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the chicken and brown on both sides.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Add onions and mushrooms to the skillet and cook until golden brown.
  6. Add the garlic powder, basil, salt, and pepper to the skillet and stir for a minute.
  7. Add the sour cream and stir until well combined.
  8. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the chicken.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
