Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1 cup of your favorite cereal
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the sous vide water bath to 145°F (63°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then place each breast in a separate sous vide bag.
  3. Cook the chicken breasts in the sous vide water bath for 1 hour.
  4. While the chicken is cooking, prepare the broccoli by blanching it in boiling water for 2 minutes, then immediately transferring it to an ice water bath to stop the cooking process. Drain and set aside.
  5. Crush the cereal into small pieces and spread it out on a plate.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  7. After the chicken has finished cooking, remove it from the sous vide bags and pat dry with paper towels.
  8. Dip the chicken breasts into the cereal, coating them evenly.
  9. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  10. Sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the cereal coating is golden brown and crispy.
  11. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  12. In the same skillet, add the broccoli and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  13. Pour the sauce mixture over the broccoli and toss to coat.
  14. Slice the chicken breasts and serve with the broccoli.
