Spiced Chicken and Okra in Air Fryer

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 cups okra, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray for the air fryer basket


  1. Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C)
  2. In a small bowl, mix the cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper
  3. Season the chicken breasts with the spice mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated
  4. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overlapping
  5. Cook the chicken in the air fryer for 18-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C)
  6. While the chicken is cooking, place the chopped okra in a bowl and toss with a little bit of olive oil, salt, and pepper
  7. After flipping the chicken, add the seasoned okra to the air fryer basket
  8. Continue cooking for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the okra is tender and slightly crispy
  9. Once done, remove the chicken and okra from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving
