This recipe is a delightful fusion of Indian spices and comforting pasta, with the added freshness of asparagus. It’s a perfect dish for four people who appreciate the warmth of Indian flavors combined with the heartiness of pasta.


  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 1 bunch of asparagus, trimmed
  • 400g pasta of your choice
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish


  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper, then place them in the skillet, skin side down. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked to your liking. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the asparagus spears and cook for 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp. Remove the asparagus from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the ground cumin, coriander, turmeric, and paprika. Stir the spices for a minute until they become fragrant.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the spices and toss to coat the pasta evenly.
  7. Place the spiced pasta on serving plates, then top with the cooked salmon fillets and asparagus.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
