What Started it all:
Almonds, Chard, spices (cumin, paprika, chili powder), food processor

  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1 bunch chard, washed and chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • Salt to taste

  1. In a food processor, pulse the almonds until coarsely ground.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the ground almonds. Toast them for 3-4 minutes until fragrant and golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, heat a little oil and add the chopped chard. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly wilted.
  4. Sprinkle the cumin, paprika, and chili powder over the chard. Stir well to coat the chard evenly with the spices.
  5. Add the toasted almonds to the skillet and toss everything together. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Season with salt to taste and serve hot.
