Spicy Chicken Breasts Pasta

This is a fiery Italian recipe that will make your taste buds sing! Perfect for two people who aren't afraid of a little bit of heat.
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 red onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 can of diced tomatoes (400 g)
- 1/2 cup of red wine
- 4 oz spaghetti pasta
- Fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over high heat.
- Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove the chicken from the pan.
- Add the chopped onion to the same pan and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the garlic, red bell pepper, and red pepper flakes and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Pour in the canned diced tomatoes and red wine, and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Add the chicken back into the pan and let simmer for 10 minutes.
- While the chicken is simmering, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions, then drain.
- Serve the chicken and sauce over the spaghetti and garnish with fresh basil.
Don't be a donkey and let the chicken dry out - keep an eye on it and make sure it's cooked through. And for goodness' sake, taste the sauce before you serve it to make sure it's up to par. Buon appetite!
