Spicy Tempeh Lettuce Wraps

What Started it all:
Tempeh, Lettuce, vegetable oil, blender


  • 1 package of tempeh, crumbled
  • 1 head of lettuce, leaves separated
  • 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup of water


  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the crumbled tempeh to the pan and cook until golden brown and crispy.
  3. In a blender, combine the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil with water and blend until smooth.
  4. Pour the blended mixture over the cooked tempeh and stir well to coat.
  5. Allow the tempeh to simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the liquid has reduced and the tempeh is well coated.
  6. Carefully separate the lettuce leaves to create cups for the tempeh mixture.
  7. Spoon the spicy tempeh mixture into the lettuce cups.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy the bold flavors!
