Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  3. Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Layer mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, bell peppers, and mushrooms on top of the sauce.
  5. Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the toppings.
  6. Carefully roll the dough from one long side to the other to form a log.
  7. Pinch the ends to seal and place the Stromboli seam-side down on a baking sheet.
  8. Beat the egg and brush it over the top of the Stromboli for a golden finish.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
