This hearty and flavorful chili is perfect for feeding a crowd during the Superbowl. It's easy to make and sure to be a hit with your guests.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, and tomato paste.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and season with chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring the chili to a simmer, then reduce the heat and let it cook for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve the chili hot, with optional toppings on the side.
