Ingredients
- 1 block (14 oz) firm tofu, drained and pressed
- 2 tablespoons sweet Thai chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons ponzu sauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup snap peas
- 2 carrots, julienned
- 3 green onions, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Cooked rice or quinoa, for serving
- Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Tofu: Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes. In a bowl, mix the sweet Thai chili sauce, hoisin sauce, and ponzu sauce to create a marinade. Add the tofu cubes and let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat the Pan: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Cook the Tofu: Add the marinated tofu to the skillet, reserving the marinade for later. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until the tofu is golden brown on all sides. Remove the tofu from the skillet and set aside.
- Stir-Fry the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic, carrots, and bell pepper. Stir-fry for about 3 minutes until they start to soften. Then, add the broccoli and snap peas, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until all the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Combine: Return the cooked tofu to the skillet, pour in the reserved marinade, and toss everything together. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to heat through and allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve over cooked rice or quinoa.
