Turkey and Fruit Skillet
What Started it all:
Turkey Breast, Pea, dried fruits (raisins, apricots), skillet
(Taking a deep breath and cracking my knuckles)
Ingredients
- 1 pound Turkey Breast, sliced
- 1 cup Peas
- 1/2 cup Dried Fruits (Raisins, Apricots)
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Olive Oil
- 1/2 cup Chicken Broth
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- 1 teaspoon Cumin
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon Chili Powder
- Fresh Cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the turkey breast slices with salt, pepper, cumin, and paprika.
- Sear the turkey breast slices in the hot skillet until golden brown on both sides.
- Add the peas and dried fruits to the skillet, and sauté for a couple of minutes.
- Pour in the chicken broth and honey, and sprinkle in the chili powder.
- Simmer the mixture for 5-7 minutes, or until the turkey is cooked through and the flavors have melded together.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
