This Ukrainian sausage skillet recipe is a hearty and flavorful dish that is perfect for feeding a crowd. The combination of the smoky sausage with the vegetables and spices creates a dish that is both comforting and satisfying.
Ingredients
- 4 Ukrainian sausages
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 zucchini, sliced
- 1 can of diced tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the sausages and cook until browned on all sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent and fragrant.
- Add the sliced bell pepper and zucchini to the skillet. Cook for a few minutes until they start to soften.
- Return the sausages to the skillet and add the can of diced tomatoes. Stir in the paprika, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the skillet simmer for about 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Serve the Ukrainian sausage skillet hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
