This ultimate meatball mac and cheese is a hearty and comforting dish that's perfect for a family dinner. The combination of tender meatballs, creamy cheese sauce, and perfectly cooked elbow noodles is sure to be a hit with everyone at the table. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz elbow noodles
  • 16 meatballs
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the elbow noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and cook the meatballs until browned on all sides. Set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Gradually whisk in the milk and continue cooking and stirring until the mixture thickens.
  6. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Add the cooked elbow noodles and meatballs to the cheese sauce, stirring to combine.
  8. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  9. In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle this mixture over the top of the mac and cheese.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
