Brussels sprout, Celery, vinegar (apple cider, balsamic), wok

A simple yet delightful vegetarian dish perfect for a cozy dinner. The Brussels sprouts and celery are brought to life with the tangy notes of apple cider and balsamic vinegar, all coming together in a sizzling wok.

  • 500g Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 4 stalks of celery, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Heat the Wok: Place your wok over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Allow it to heat until shimmering.
  2. Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the hot wok. Stir-fry them for about 5-7 minutes until they start to brown on the edges.
  3. Add the Celery: Toss in the sliced celery. Continue to stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the celery begins to soften but still retains some crunch.
  4. Deglaze with Vinegar: Pour in the apple cider vinegar and balsamic vinegar. Stir well to ensure all the vegetables are coated and let it cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  5. Season: Add salt and pepper to taste. Stir everything together one last time.
  6. Serve: Transfer the stir-fry to a serving dish and enjoy warm.
